- Designed and directed North American Exploration business systems development (financial modeling, planning, forecasting and lease-bid tracking); no such systems pre-existed this effort.
- Managed sourcing, testing and installation of hardware and telecommunications for business systems access by 9 U.S. and Canadian Divisions.
- Configured and networked workstations for business and scientific mainframe access, as well as personal computing, before the market offered these.
- Designed the Exploration Prospect Appraisal Program (EPAP) risk analysis system (80 Cobol large array subroutines on a Cyber mainframe) that Conoco used in sealed-bidding lease sales against Exxon, Mobil etc. to win nearly 50% of Gulf of Mexico tracts - worth $billions in cash flow over a decade. Amoco took 5 times as long with more people to produce less-successful results.
- Represented the $400M North American Exploration business on the duPont Long Range Planning Task Force.
